In the West, sushi has gone from unfamiliar to popular over the past couple of decades. This Easy Delightful Vegan California Sushi recipe is perfect for cooking beginners, is made with simple ingredients and tastes so good.
1 batch prepared Sushi Rice
2 sheets nori seaweed sheets
¼ cucumber, peeled and sliced lengthwise
1 carrot, sliced
2 pieces Delight Patties, ground
3 ounce vegan cream cheese
1 avocado, sliced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
Soy sauce and wasabi
1 pack tofu skin (option)
Ground Delight Patties put in oven, bake 350F for 5-8 mins (until it golden brown), then let it cool down and mix with vegan cream cheese.
Lay a sheet of nori on a piece of wrap.
Top with prepared sushi rice (press evenly over the nori to prevent sticky)
Turn over the nori, place the fillings on top, keeping them on the half farthest from the nori border.
Carefully lift the nori edge nearest you up and over the fillings, wrapping very tightly like a burrito, but taking care not to break the nori.
With a very sharp knife, cut the sushi in size you like. Enjoy right away!
