Calzone is an Italian oven-baked folded pizza which you can put whatever you like! This vegan Calzone recipe features our favorite Delight BBQ & Nugget and delicious vegan cheese!
5 oz Delight Nugget (Diced)
5 oz Delight BBQ
1 batch Italian Pizza Dough
1 cups Marinara Sauce
8 oz Plant-based Cheese (Shredded)
Sea Salt & Black Pepper to taste
Drizzle of olive oil (Optional)
Thaw the Delight BBQ and Nugget.
Preheat oven to 425°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
Divide pizza dough into 4 pieces, and roll each dough into an 8" circle (about ¼" thick).
(For Nugget)Spoon Marinara Sauce in middle of dough, then add diced Nugget and top with vegan cheese. Fold dough in half, dampen seams with water and pinch together, then crimp the edges. Repeat with remaining dough.
(For BBQ) Add Delight BBQ in the middle of dough and top with vegan cheese. Fold dough in half, dampen seams with water and pinch together, then crimp the edges. Repeat with remaining dough.
Cut 2-3 air vents into the top of the calzone and place it on to the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil
Bake 15 minutes or until the dough is fully cooked and the calzone is golden brown. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting open.
