Delightful Vegan Nashville Hot Chick'n

Juicy plant-based Delight Patties breaded with a kick of spice! Come to try our ultimate Nashville Hot "Chicken" Recipe!

Ingredients for 4 serves:


  • 4 pieces Delight Patties

  • 1 cup unflavored plant milk

  • 2 Tbsp hot sauce

  • 1 Tbsp pickle brine

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup corn flakes (option)

  • ¼ cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp Cajun Seasoning

  • Dill pickle slices

  • 4 Burger Bun

  • Vegan mayo (option)

Nashville Hot Sauce
  • 6 Tbsp vegan butter

  • ½ Tbsp cayenne pepper (add more or less to your liking)

  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instruction:

  • In a bowl, mix together the plant milk, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and pickle brine to make the marinade. Then place the Delight Patties into the marinade. Let them sit for 10-15 minutes.


  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, corn flakes, baking powder and Cajun seasoning. Place the Delight Patties into the flour mixture, pressing the mixture onto all sides. Dip them back into the marinade briefly, and then back into the flour mixture for a second time. Sit out about 5 minutes to allow coating to dry out a bit.


  1. Bring a pot of oil to 375 degrees, Place the Delight patties carefully into oil and let it fry until golden brown. Let it rest on a cooling rack.

  2. In a small pan, melt the vegan butter. Whisk in the hot sauce spices and cook for 1 minute. Set aside until ready to coat the patties.

  3. You can either brush the Delight Patties with the sauce, or toss it in the bowl. Add some vegan mayo to both the top and bottom buns. Add some pickle slices, then plop your Delight Patties on the bottom bun and add the top bun.
